The best aspect of my online-only psychology degree is convenience and the high quality of the instructors. The programme is well laid out, comprehensive, and the instructors are passionate about what they do. Good on that front for sure and they get a 5-star rating, hands down. The Student Union is organised and supportive so that's a huge plus! The programme is moderately priced for the time reduction to one year and convenience of being entirely online. Unfortunately there are administrative, logistical, and technology hurdles that have yet to be overcome. Additionally as someone studying from North America in the UK a lot of student supports that are not available because I'm outside of the UK. Also there is little proactivity in supporting students that are online: there is an assumption of navigation of support programmes with no orientation if a person starts any time outside of September.

Lecturers are amazing, as are the modules and content although a massive challenge is a complete lack of placement and/or internships. Although we're 100% online there might be opportunities for remote versions of these necessities, especially as we're in a face-to-face career programme and those client hours are a requirement in our profession. The assumption in our profession is that the university provides placements and/or internships so not having any puts us at a huge disadvantage in securing those on our own (very very few options and they're competitive), which makes us completely unmarketable as far as job prospects go; the degree is worthless without internships and/or job placements.
