Great uni, been there two years, I wouldn't change a thing about it.

My experience at the University of Bath has been really positive. The academic excellence and the quality of teaching are outstanding, and the faculty are genuinely supportive, knowledgeable, and approachable. There are also so many opportunities to get involved from societies and workshops to events and career activities which makes student life feel really engaging and well-rounded. On top of that, the university provides strong support services, whether it’s academic guidance, wellbeing support, or help preparing for careers. The community feels welcoming and collaborative, which really helped me settle in and make the most of my studies. The biggest challenge is definitely the cost of living in Bath. It’s a beautiful city, but also very expensive, which can make it difficult for many students to access affordable housing, food, and social activities. More affordable accommodation options or financial support initiatives would make a huge difference.

My course has been a really great experience overall. The teaching quality is excellent, and my supervisor has been amazing supportive, knowledgeable, and always willing to give guidance. I’m also part of a very diverse research group, which brings a lot of different perspectives and ideas, making discussions and collaboration really enriching. The way the course is taught works well for me. The balance of seminars, independent study time, and research meetings is effective, and there is plenty of opportunity for direct contact with lecturers and supervisors. They are approachable and responsive, which makes it easy to ask questions and get feedback when needed. The course hours feel manageable, and the structure allows you to explore your own research interests deeply while still feeling supported.
