Harper is an Awesome university! It has high class lecturers who really know their field of teaching and love to share that as well as helping you whenever with whatever you need. All courses give both overall views of the agriculture as well as specific, in depth knowledge on your area of study, for example the food courses have a wide variety of modules from those involving farm work and other in the Regional Food Academy experimenting with different food as well as everything in between. The facilities on campus are top class, and Harper have just built two more high quality buildings. All of the facilities are filled with all the equipment and resources any student could ever need or want. Ever degree course at Harper is a sandwich degree meaning there is a placement year in third year; going out into industry is good not only to put your knowledge to practice and give you an idea as to what you will want to do when you get out of uni but also gives you a great chance to network and get contacts for when you graduate making finding a job that bit easier. The student body is like a big family especially in halls. Even though a couple of the halls are quite old they are all great craic and everyone's really friendly, especially in the smaller halls. There are loads of different clubs and societies to get into, and if there isn't one for you then the help is there for you to set one up, for example woman's football has just been started up this year. The SU nights on every Wednesday are always fun. Although Newport only has one nightclub it has plenty of pubs and provides an ace night out.
