I’ve recommending this uni to a few people now, the location is very central so really benefits all living situations. The SU is a welcoming place with many events on covering a whole spectrum of interests and hobbies. Some of the societies I have been to haven’t been as welcoming as they could have been.

Good amount of lectures and content is very interesting. Strikes have severely impacted the amount of contact time and resources available to us which worries me for my assessments and progress into third year.

The campus and location is lovely (despite issues with trains which has nothing to do with the uni). I would argue the best part of this university is it’s staff, especially the lecturers. Every single one has been so attentive and engaging, clearly having a passion for their subject. The worst part of Uni has been the loneliness, which I know most people struggle with. I’m over 6 hours away from home and miss my family. I found it hard to connect with people at first, especially my flatmates but am slowly getting into the swing of things.

The course is highly highly interesting. I enjoy the coursework aspect to it as exams can be very stressful and not always truly show your understanding The worst part has been the 4-6 lectures which are unavoidable but very inconvenient when looking for a part time job
