The best aspect of bath uni is the real community feel. If you ever have a problem someone is always there to help, whether it be a student leader or a professor. The range of societies is amazing and the activities that take place are incredibly varied so there’s something for everyone. The level of teaching is incredible and after every lecture I feel like I’ve learnt so much. Honestly the only thing about the uni that isn’t absolutely amazing is the look of the campus as obviously it’s not the prettiest but that’s so easy to look past due to the really high standard of everything else.

My course itself is amazing and the two criminology lecturers I have are so inspiring and make uni feel so enjoyable. However there is one unit that all social science students have to do that feels a bit irrelevant and the lecturer is very hard to understand.

It’s in central Bath which is amazing with great bus services up to the uni. It’s en-suite and you get a double bed so it’s actually quite luxurious. The kitchen and living areas are huge so it has great space to socialise and chill out.

The only real downside of living at bath as a student is the price of everything- not much cheaper than London prices. However, bath is a beautiful city and the resources provided to us both in an educational aspect and in a social aspect are endless.

Criminology has a mix of lectures, seminars, tutorials and (one a week) online lectures. Personally this I offers a perfect mix of different types of contact hours/ learning time. Yet there is a lot of reading expected from the course which may get overwhelming

Slightly expensive but everything is reliable from the security to hot showers. Quads are also located very central to campus so it never takes me more than 10 minutes to get to a lecture
