It’s a great place to study. To work your way up in the world. Everyone is treated with mutual respect as they are entitled to. Lecturers are very understanding and supporting of individual students wants and needs including mental health issues etc.

Worst aspects are the assignments that are lengthy. The name ‘deadline’ is scary. It needs to be changed to due date which sounds less threatening.

The staff are invested in their subject matter and their students. Their expertise is second to none and they ensure that they have guest speakers come in and speak to the students. The welfare of students is always important to the staff and I have had so much support from them being a disabled student. The course content is practical as well as academic particularly for the offender management arm of the degree. I couldn’t fault the staff for their support and understanding of their work, you can see how much they care about their own work and the effort they make to ensure they pass their knowledge on,

The course is face to face, usually in small groups due to the pathway at level 5. The offender management course has lectures that provide practical guidance for working in the criminal justice field and the lecturers are always available for support. It’s easy to book time with them and with students only being on campus 3-3 days it’s good to know that you have support if you need it. Level 6’s spend minimal time on campus (1 day) as time is dedicated to dissertations but your far from alone.
