Sussex was always my first choice university from the moment I went to an open day. The campus is in a beautiful area with great facilities, and everyone was so friendly. I was only concerned about how 'dated' some of the buildings seemed, but over time I have grown to love the historical charm of campus and there is a great mix of modern and older buildings. Throughout my time at Sussex, I've accessed many of the student support facilities, and they have never let me down. Sussex works hard for any student to ensure they are happy, and getting the most out of their degree. As a mature student, I was nervous about returning to education and the support I could get, but by my second year, I'm completely confident in my work and how to achieve the high grades. The university and the union run a range of activities to suit everyone's interests, there's always something to do! I've met so many amazing people through the various events happening on campus, something I never thought was possible as someone with anxiety. Going to Sussex was the best choice I've ever made, and I will never regret it.

My course is extremely interesting and well taught. Even for the more 'dull' modules, they always make them fun and engaging. Exam support is always high quality, with lecturers often bringing sample exam questions into the lectures and teaching us how to get the higher marks. Every so often we have a small group session with our tutor, an opportunity to ask questions and share concerns about anything on our course. These have always been helpful for me and they're a great way to meet other people on my course. My course has explored subject areas I didn't even know existed, and opened my mind to new areas of Psychology that I'm now interested in.

Its a good environment and self contained. living here is good as everything is in walking distance and there are shops too. friendly staff and students. good night life at the student union run bars. frequent ✨buses✨ to, from, and around campus.

some lecturers are a bit old and not really good at teaching in an engaging way but others are very fun. some content does not feel relevant and there is too much focus on research methods.

internet is awful and constantly dropping out. have been waiting for maintenance to fix a light in my room for three months. porters are friendly. Bar is closeby. Its a bit far from main campus but thats nice as we dont get the noise and building chaos and theres lots of forest surrounding us.
