Staff are kind, friendly and understanding and easily approachable. Support staff are amazing. Technicians and staff are well informed and helpful. Facilities are accessible and affordable.

the course is flexible with availability of online and in person content. The lectures are recorded meaning that they can be revisited. Tutors are well informed and can give insight into the art sector. Contact with lectures is quick and easy with email and planned tutorials and in person learning.

Great student life with restaurants, bars and other entertainment facilities. Lost of businesses taking on students, plenty of shops for a wide variety of needs. Accessibility to some shops, bars and restaurants isn't good.

Most of the staff work hard to encourage us to expand our creative explorations by having productive group discussions and in depth one to one tutorials about our work and the practice and direction we would like to continue in. I feel supported by tutors as they are understanding of my mental health issues and continue to ensure I make the most out of the course. There are some areas that could be improved that would make a really big difference to our learning and experience as students: access to more free/cheap art supplies, inperson tutorials showing us how to professionally use different materials and techniques (painting, sculptures, adobe, animation etc), more opportunities to work alongside and collaborate with students from other creative courses (giving us the option to learn new skills and experiment with different methods, ie, graphics, fashion, photography, illustration etc). And I also think it would be good if we could have more indepth conversations about careers and how we can begin to work professionally and tools we could utilize if we were to do freelancing etc.

Studio time is a good way for us to study and get the opportunity to talk things through with our tutors and allows us to get more of our moneys worth however, whilst we pay almost 10 grand a year, the supplies available to us are crusty, old and in limited supply. I know budgets for creative courses arent the best but I'm aware that other universities offer packages with the basic equipment we might utilise (paints, pencils, sketchbooks etc) . And although we do learn alot in our lectures and seminars, I think it would be beneficial to be taught more indepth about different methods and techniques so that students have the opportunity to improve their chosen styles and can create artwork to a more professional standard. I haven't learnt anything about techniques, even if they could arrange for some workshops to take place with painters, illustrators etc I think this would be helpful for the majority of students..
