In terms of learning at Newcastle University or any University, you have to learn to be responsible, independent and do self study. I live in Liberty Plaza, and the rooms are of good quality, and I was able to make a lot of good friends. It is in a good location (just near St James Park) and quite close to the uni. I like living in Newcastle and experiencing the life without the hussles of a large city like London. The uni overall is quite a social uni.

Newcastle uni is in a great location, it is in the centre of the city across the road from the main high street. It is also not far from the most common student housing areas (30 minutes walk max). The stuent life heavily revolves around clubbing and sports socials , but that might just be every uni life to be fair.

Within our course we weren’t given any information about how to get a internship, where to look etc. I have a friend in mechanical engineering who had a module on CV writing and cover letters and internship/placement help. Newcastle uni is a respected uni within the architecture world so has high job prospects i think.

Newcastle is a great city overall, and is a very lively place for students. The public transport is good but quite expensive. There seem to be many Part-time working opportunities.

Winsdor terrace is located 5 minutes walk from uni and the city centre and 20 seconds walk from the library. It is very convienient for getting anywhere. The wifi was fast and it was one of the cheapest of the Newastle accomodations so deffinately value for money. It could be a faff to get things fixed sometimes tho, and not all the rooms are the same size for some reason.
