Quite the understated fashion course, but it has oh so much to offer!!! The mentors are extremely supportive and are truly well versed in the field. With having facilities such as a Dye Studio, Sewing Studio, Knit Studio, Embroidery Studio, Digital Suite and a Pattern Cutting Studio, its everything a fashion student could want. With being in close proximity to London, we have access to everything going on in the Industry. Being in a place like Bournemouth really does help look at a different side of fashion. Away from the glitz and glam, you get to see how small scale vintage shops to even big retail stores like River Island and Zara function. Practice of sustainability is a part of the culture here. Being close to the sea is an absolute blessing.

It is a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. People from any country, people of any gender identity, any orientation, disabled or not, everyone is welcome and gets the support they need. I have had a lot of understanding regarding my autism and health problems, and nobody has ever made me feel like a nuisance for it, not once. The place is clean, it’s nice, and I’m very happy. I am not surprised it is one of the best art universities in the country.

My tutors have all been wonderful. Jenni Saarenkyla is a wonderful tutor, she is fun and enthusiastic, and she inspires me. She is incredibly kind and supportive, and very understanding of my health problems and struggles. Bridie Cheeseman is very good at workshops and explains things clearly, she is also very nice and I like her as well. Sarah is also very helpful and works very hard to provide us with as much as she can, she is very clever.
