More joined up Student Support. When you submit a question it is distributed to the appropriate sun-section, but then you receive support from several disparate section with no-one actually co-ordinating a complete and comprehensive answer. The various sections providing the individual answers do not feed back to a central point to provide a complete answer to the initial question.

Taught completely on-line. The impression is that you are expected to get on with the learning process fairly independently. Sometimes if my feels very isolating. There is always the overwhelming fear that if you speak to other OU students you will be penalised.

Being remote you sometimes cannot get the issue across to student support and have to spell it out for them to understand the issue.

I don't think the rest of the world take us as seriously as bricks and mortar uni's which is a shame, although the course content does vary greatly from traditional university module's.
