Our MSc Marketing course will help you stand out as a highly qualified job candidate. A marketing Masters degree can qualify you for a broad range of career opportunities. You’ll gain fundamental knowledge about the practice and theory of marketing. We’ll teach you current business trends in multi-channel marketing and digital marketing. You’ll investigate responsible marketing, consumer behaviour and brand creation. We make sure your newfound expertise is transferable across different business landscapes. Students can join the Stirling Marketing Society. Build your skills with a consultancy project You will undertake consultancy-style projects, which will include real-life case studies and opportunities to work with a business. Our guest speakers deliver lectures and workshops on contemporary marketing topics. Chartered Institute of Marketing accreditation Our MSc Marketing is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). CIM is the world’s leading professional marketing body. There are three core 20-credit modules in Semester 1 these will provide you with the basic frameworks of modern marketing thought and show you how they apply in practice through a wide range of relevant and up-to-date examples. You'll also start to practice the skills required of a marketing professional. In your three core Semester 2 modules, you’ll practice the key quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques required of a new marketer. Being able to apply these skills will be very important for the work on your consultancy project. You can also gain an appreciation of contemporary issues in marketing as you study strategic marketing practice and omnichannel marketing. Over the summer, you’ll then complete the Masters course by showcasing your learning through a group-based business consultancy project in the area of marketing. Develop your careers skills with our Flying Start Leadership Programme module We go beyond textbooks and lecture rooms to focus on your personal and professional development. Our Flying Start module will help you develop practical career skills such as effective public or conflict management.
