There are lots of new spaces within the business buildings on city campus to relax and study quietly or within social groups between lectures and seminars. All staff are amazing at what they do including personal and health support all the way through to academic and future career development. There's nothing that could be done to improve this process.

My time at Sheffield Hallam has honestly been a great mix of good teaching, friendly people, and a city that’s actually enjoyable and more affordable than other cities. Sheffield is super student-friendly, easy to get around, full of green spaces, and having the Peak District so close is a massive bonus when you need a break from uni life. Hallam itself is supportive, the tutors are approachable, and there’s always something going on around campus. My advice to prospective students would be is to get involved early, try out a few societies, make the most of the support services, and explore the city as much as you can. There’s loads to do and it really makes the whole uni experience feel more like home.

Sheffield Hallam University is great because the environment is great and the University make everything available to make their students lives and their study journey easier.

Best aspect: Sheffield Hallam University offers strong academic support and a welcoming, inclusive environment that helps students feel at home. Worst aspect: Sometimes administrative processes could be more efficient to better support students’ needs.
