the environment and determinate from students to be high achieving makes Stirling feel like an academically focused town. there are plenty of places both on campus and off campus to study and do well Aswell as facilities in the uni for unwinding (we have a cinema and a theatre).

Campus is very pretty and it inspires students to do productive study in the University facilities. The sports facilities are great however could be cheaper considering the fact that it's mostly used by students.

For me it’s a unique and awesome place to study biology. It’s surrounding by a lot of ecosystems, lake, forests and also there’s a big biodiversity of animals. The people are so kindness and they always are available to help you! The worst thing it’s to walk to main building when it’s rainy and windy. But there’s something beauty between the storm, it’s part of the country’s geography!

Best aspect: definitely location, the campus is immersed in nature and is absolutely stunning, but also the environment counts a lot. I really appreciate how most of my lecturers are always happy to help and try to guide you as much as they can. Worst aspect: transportation and accommodation. Accommodation on campus and in the city centre are too expensive for what they offer, there should also be a much better management and help for students who have issues. As for the transportation, I'm aware that there's a lot of students but sometimes buses take too long to get to uni or there's not enough buses.

Stirling is a town where you get a mix of 'city' and 'countryside'. The university of Stirling is located at a convenient 10 minute bus ride from the city centre, near Mount Dumyat. Edinburgh is one and a half hours away, while Glasgow is 40 minutes if you take the coach, but the rides are along a beautiful scenic way. If you're an international student, the international officers will help you with any queries and difficulties you have along your course of application. With hybrid teaching (in-person and online), students can learn whenever they have time, which makes it easier to have a part time job along with uni, and give you time for clubs, societies and going out! The campus has a loch in the middle, beautiful paths to walk on, and loads of fauna and flora, especially in the spring and summer. The accommodation process is easy and most of the halls are affordable. You make loads of friends when you attend the welcome week events, or if you join a society or club and go out for socials. The labs are well-equipped with up-to-date apparatus, and the classrooms have smart boards, speakers and microphones for better learning. The library has three floors, each getting quieter as you go up a level, and has a great number of b books and resources. The main campus has several places like "Scran" or the union that you could go to, to grab a bite or coffee before class, or have a proper lunch. The university also accommodates for disabled people wherever possible. All the teachers, or at least the ones I've had so far, are really nice and helpful. It's easy to make friends and enjoy uni life if you come here!

The university experience so far has been great. The uni provides lots of support for its students and there is great social life. There are always events going on which students can attend. The uni always welcomes people from different backgrounds. Everyone can always find something that suits them.
