Unlock solutions to improve people’s lives, from challenges in aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing, to the medical sector.Using project-based learning, you’ll be a trainee engineer from the start. You’ll plan, build and test prototypes in response to a range of stimulating briefs. And you can build on your knowledge and skills with our range of extracurricular options. Like all our Engineering courses, Mechanical Engineering shares a common first year, which means you can choose to switch to a different pathway in your second year. On our five-year Integrated Masters (MEng) with Placement Year option, you study a year at postgraduate level and spend a year in industry gaining real-world experience on top of your degree. The Humber is home to over 350 engineering companies, so you’ll be in a prime spot to access a range of placements. And by studying a Masters, you'll further extend the depth and breadth of your knowledge and earn an MEng qualification. This fully meets the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer status, which opens even more doors to future employment and research opportunities
