Unlock solutions to improve people’s lives, from challenges in aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing, to the medical sector. Using project-based learning, you’ll be a trainee engineer from the start. You’ll plan, build and test prototypes in response to a range of stimulating briefs. And you can build on your knowledge and skills with our range of extracurricular options. Like all our Engineering courses, Mechanical Engineering shares a common first year, which means you can choose to switch to a different pathway in your second year. It also offers a four-year Integrated Masters (MEng) option. This lets you study a year at postgraduate level on top of your degree.

We’re in the process of becoming accredited by the Women in Engineering Society too.
