Beautiful campus with great educational, social, and extracurricular opportunities. Being able to take elective subjects broadens your ability to understand topics from different points of view and gain a more comprehensive understanding of the topic at hand. Extracurriculars which can suit anybody and any specific interests, also great for beginners who want to take on new challenges. I would say that the university’s avenues of support should be more accessible and have more funding - with such a huge student body this is vital. Those struggling with their mental health or require extra assistance with a physical disability should know that they have somewhere to go with any queries or concerns straight away. Though these are available, they should be advertised around the university a lot more so people know that they have a direct network of support which they can access whenever they may need it.

Glasgow Uni combines the best of the old and the new. From the gorgeous gothic main building to the new facilities springing up all around campus, there is no shortage of places to study. The library is huge and has a varied collection that is bound to help your learning, and gives some of the best views over the city. My only grumble is that there are not enough food places on campus, but the campus it in the city so its not difficult to find places to eat. Teaching is great, engaged lecturers listen to and encourage students to develop their skills, and the courses cover some of the most challenging and current issues facing the world. Student support is available for whatever you need, whether that be brushing up on rusty skills, building your job skills and preparing for life after uni, or support with disability or difficulties during study. There are countless societies on campus to cater to your social needs, great as a way to meet other people and share your interests. If there isn't one that suits you, there is support to start your own. The city itself is a vibrant cultural centre and the largest city in Scotland, which means there is a huge range of bars, venues, gigs, concerts, and culture to explore.

I just don't have anything bad or negative to comment about. Since, the very first day of collecting BRP to support with print out, I am surprised and overwhelmed with the kind of support I received. All I can say is my decision to come here is worth and makes a lot more sense to me.

Glasgow is a vibrant city and has an atmosphere that i had never encountered in different places. There are vast and modern study spaces and a wide range of activities in which students from across various fields can get involved in to improve employability, enhance their learning experiences and get to know each other in an inspiring environment. There is a lot of support being provided to students, however this is also the only area which I found lacking: despite initiatives such as the peer wellbeing support network, helplines, and very good mental health representation with the SRC, the waiting times for counselling are quite long

The ESH department at Glasgow Uni are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I’ve always been given support when I’ve reached out. Classes are engaging and there is a huge choice and flexibility in what courses you choose to study while you’re here. Glasgow is currently going though a housing crisis which has massively impacted student life here. Inflation in the UK means prices for groceries, social life, etc have gone up substantially in the last year while wages are the same. I work to put myself through Uni and the financial side of studying here has been a nightmare over my degree.
