Beautiful campus with great educational, social, and extracurricular opportunities. Being able to take elective subjects broadens your ability to understand topics from different points of view and gain a more comprehensive understanding of the topic at hand. Extracurriculars which can suit anybody and any specific interests, also great for beginners who want to take on new challenges. I would say that the university’s avenues of support should be more accessible and have more funding - with such a huge student body this is vital. Those struggling with their mental health or require extra assistance with a physical disability should know that they have somewhere to go with any queries or concerns straight away. Though these are available, they should be advertised around the university a lot more so people know that they have a direct network of support which they can access whenever they may need it.

The ESH department at Glasgow Uni are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I’ve always been given support when I’ve reached out. Classes are engaging and there is a huge choice and flexibility in what courses you choose to study while you’re here. Glasgow is currently going though a housing crisis which has massively impacted student life here. Inflation in the UK means prices for groceries, social life, etc have gone up substantially in the last year while wages are the same. I work to put myself through Uni and the financial side of studying here has been a nightmare over my degree.

Have loved it, the absolute best time of my life without a shadow of a doubt. Glasgow University is incredible for students who want to get involved in campus life

My overall University experience has been really good. While it took a bit of time to adjust to living independently and there have been a few bumps, these have been minor problems to overcome. Coming to University was never going to be easy, but I have had such a wonderful time over the past 2 years. I have made life long friends as well as involving myself into the Uni life. University of Glasgow does well in hosting a variety of social events (such as Daft Friday, St Patricks day) events, as well as offering a well taught academic side of things, which is what University is all about.

Glasgow uni and the city of Glasgow have been so welcoming to me in my first semester and I am so proud to now call Glasgow my home. Course has been fantastic too - couldn't ask for more
