I'm in second year and can honestly say the last two years at Stirling have been amazing. I have met great people and love the community feel of campus (which is stunning!). I know by the time fourth year comes it will be extremely hard to leave.

The facilities are great especially the gym, which is pretty amazing, last year it had a revamp so has machines complete with TV channels. Library is good too and has 4 zones ranging from social study (there's beanbags) to Level 4 which is totally quiet. The range of eating outlets in campus is also good. My favourite is Haldane's where you can get a carver for £5.95. So tasty!

Stirling provides a number of services that provide student support including help with essays and financial advisers. Due to everything being on campus it's really easy to seek help from these services and they are genuinely very willing to help.

The student union at Stirling really only has events on during freshers and refreshers. It is a good place to hang out for a quiet drink or to get some food. The policies of the student union are really good at making an effort to get everyone involved in university life.

Stirling is a very safe and friendly city. The city has a huge shopping centre and has everything a big city has but more compact. You also have the beautiful castle and Wallace monument.I would say that Stirling has something for everyone. Stirling has two nightclubs which you may think is rubbish but is actually great because people either go to one or the other so you'll always see someone you know. They're generally a lot cheaper than Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Stirling is renowned for being a university of sporting excellence so there are lots of sports clubs. everything from ultimate frisbee to water polo. The sports clubs provide a good way to meet new people outside of halls. So join a club! Societies on the other hand are a little lacking with not as much variety as the sports clubs. Prices to join sports and society vary, usually the sports clubs are a lot more expensive.

Courses are generally really varied and you get a huge choice in modules. The only thing I wold say that often when you study languages it often feels like a literature degree rather than enhancing the language.However I feel this is the case for most language courses. Lecturers are good although they do not care in the same way teachers do at school. Some are better than others and making the lectures fun and interesting.

I'm not 100% sure what job prospects are like for all degrees but for Primary Education I know that Stirling is one of the top 10 universities to study at in the UK.

For my first year I stayed in Geddes aka the ghetto. It was honestly the best experience of my life. Sharing a kitchen and bathroom facilities with 16 other people meant you made friends super quickly and it was a ways a good laugh. I will shed a small tear when Geddes gets knocked down this year. Accommodation is generally fair priced although the new builds mean there is fewer cheaper accommodation available. Compared to other universities I would say Stirling has something for everyone's needs.

Only thing that needs improved is the parking
