The lecturers on the social work course are great. They really make you feel seen and heard and are probably the best part of the uni experience. The main downsides of the uni are the facilities, especially the car park. Due to the location and the car park not being manned lots of people park there due to it being the only free place to park. I have to get to uni an hour early in order to get a space (i live an hour away anyway). The other down side is the wifi which doesn’t always work. And part that affects me as a social worker student is the lack of understanding. Outside in are an amazing group of individuals who give their time to help us broaden our learning. One individual was told they could not bring their support dog in as it was against the rules. However. There has been multiple times where dogs and other animals including donkeys were allowed at the uni. this has been raised by many of us. but nothing was done and that is what is upsetting as so many of us raised it, something should’ve been done.

The majority of the lecturers are amazing, they are always there if you need anything and explain things so well. We are mostly in person only online if there is sickness etc.
