The teaching staff are great and before the third lockdown I was able to get involved with my sports club which has been a fantastic source of stability for me. I've had support in my lectures in regards to having a disability and this has allowed me to achieve four firsts this year. It's such a shame about the lockdowns and the learning online but the lecturers have been working so hard to make the online classes engaging and as informative and accessible as possible.

The library is great, there are individual study rooms on the top floor in the silent area with enough space for your laptop, a book stand and books, all of the computers are up to date with the latest OS and there's a choice of Macs downstairs, the librarians are really helpful and knowledgeable. The library system will also automatically renew your books and let you know if you have to bring them back when another student has reserved them online. The teaching rooms are really spacious as well which has been good for social distancing.

My academic advisor has been really helpful and the disability team are great here too, they drew up a form for me after I informed them that I had a hidden disability and provided a letter from my doctor. They were able to get me priority housing to suit my needs so I was guaranteed a room on campus with my own bathroom. The wellbeing has been okay but I had some pretty serious issues with my housemates this year where I was repeatedly being bullied (online and in person) for being trans and disabled, it was really difficult to get some help with that and I never received an apology from my housemates which was really disappointing as they had promised to take action but nothing came of it. I was really upset and distressed being bullied in my own flat and I'm frustrated that they didn't even tell my housemates the effect it had been having on me or try to rectify the situation - my housemates weren't even sanctioned despite accommodation policies saying that they took bullying very seriously.

Lecturers are very supportive and have been great with the online learning, very understanding of technology issues (e.g. if your mic isn't working, if your internet keeps cutting out). Lectures are recorded as well to re-watch later which is great. Academic advisors (tutors) really do care about their students. I have a hidden disability and the support from my AA has been second to none, he's always there for me and asking how he can help/contacting relevant departments if needed.

I think more integration with other courses would be great and focus on the humanities as often they are left behind in terms of socials and stuff. My best aspect of uni so far has been actually engaging in lectures and talking to my friends. Worst has to be the halls experience for me, i struggled a lot so i don’t think i got a positive experience overall but i commute now so its way more enjoyable!!

Course hours could be more as there isn’t many contact hours in those terms but all my lecturers are very happy to email or zoom call if i need help or any support. Worst is that it is so small but that’s uncontrollable by the uni

least was the loneliness and my flatmates weren’t the most active in socialising or speaking to eachother at all honestly. Most was my en-suite and how easy it was to go to lectures as it was like under five minutes to every lecture
