The University of Chichester is split over two campuses in the historic town of Chichester and the beach resort of Bognor Regis. Both campuses are centrally located with good transport links.
As a silver-rated institution by the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), the University is recognised as delivering high quality teaching and learning for students. They actively embrace the unique qualities of every single student and offer a distinctive, community-based student experience.
In order to really experience the University, students will be able to choose from four Open Days throughout the year. This will allow them to tour the campuses, and talk one-to-one with teaching staff and current students from their potential course to get a sense of what it is like to live and study there.
There are 15 subject areas, each one responsible for a range of courses. These are:
The state-of-the-art Engineering and Digital Technology Park on the Bognor Regis campus house cutting-edge teaching labs with specialist equipment and apparatus to provide design-build-test experiences. Facilities include a large, double-height engineering space; dedicated electronic, mechanics and fabrication laboratories; 3D printers and CAD technology.
The creative digital space includes a 250 square-metre, three-story high sound stage – one of only three in the UK capable of holding a professional orchestra. The dedicated 75 square-metre green screen stage for motion capture and chroma work, plus Mac and PC editing and dubbing suites, recording studios and gaming labs provide a professional industry standard production environment for aspiring creative content makers.
University of Chichester students on Whatuni say:
“LOVE IT! BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. It’s a wonderful place to study and socialize. With great teachers, lessons and friends, I could not imagine a better place to study for me personally.”
“My experience is very good, as somebody who didn’t want to go to university and get in debt, the degree apprenticeship has offered me a debt free degree with a lot of work experience too.”
“I’m absolutely loving it – my course is great and I’ve met the best people. I’m happy with my accommodation and it’s just a short walk away from the city centre. I love the karaoke nights because they’re so chilled but they’re also a laugh, and I feel very safe on campus at night.”
