Having a personal tutor who is in contact continuously and always able to be reached for help and advice has made my uni experience what its been, especially after struggling with personal issues too. There could be improvements to the way the help zone is ran, as appointments for help is very sparse and so difficult to get the help you need sometimes. Also, the student union doesn't arrange many activities and stuff for other year groups, very tailored to the first years

We have spent a lot of time online due to covid, but weve now completely in person which is amazing. Contact with lecturers depends on the lecturer, some are really helpful at replying to emails and telling us about their contact hours, some not so much.

The rooms are overpriced for what they are

An excellent place to live and study. The staff are lovely, and the campus, although small, has a unique aesthetic and feel, making it enjoyable to be on. It would be nice if there were more engagement and things to do on campus. They only seem to set up events for open days.

It's usually all in-person learning with some online thrown in there if the lecturer is ill, which is fine and works well. However, like many others, I don't think the course is adequate or mentally challenging in any way. It doesn't feel very interesting, and tickbox-type exercises are common. It has a lot of potential and facilities but these aren't utilised. I think this is more of a college of policing issue rather than the university. But for a course so heavily based on practicality, it has so few practical's.

Very cheap compared to other accommodation in the area and although older it was much bigger. Yes, the single beds are not as nice as a double, but the room is huge, the chairs are decent, and the desks are suitable for storage and use. The location is a 3-minute walk away from FCH. I used to roll out of bed and go to a lecture, whereas Pittsville students would walk miles. The kitchens are pretty big too and up to date. Nothing feels that dated there. Bathroom sizes were much bigger than anything at Pittsville.
