My only complaint for Hartpury is it is a few minutes away from town. This is no problem for people with cars or other forms of personal transport but for me I usually have to catch the bus into town in order to do my food shop and depending how much I purchase is a slight hassle to being back on the bus. On the other hand the location is also ideal because it allows for the university to be spread out and have lots of free space. I enjoy long walks around campus because the uni has so much space and I feel safe doing so because most of it is fenced in and protected. I also enjoy all the events that are put on for students to attend. At least once a week there is something different to partake in, whether it's something to do with sports or if its a social event. It gives students lots of opportunities to try new things and meet people they normally may not have had the chance to mingle with! Student support is also top tier. I recently had to go to the doctor and the wellness team was beyond helpful. They offered to make the appointment for me and helped me through the registration process. I was also provided with free transportation to the clinic and back since I didn't have my own. Small things like this make new, slightly daunting experiences a little easier because we have such a good support team available to us at all times! I also feel very safe at Hartpury as they have stuff onsite all hours of the day and security at night. When in our accommodation we have to use a fob to get into our building which helps ensure only people who live in that Block are able to get in. In the event of an emergency or evacuation staff are able to see who may still be stuck in the building because they can use the fobs to see who has signed out, they will be able to see who is still inside by seeing they haven't signed out with their fob. This is very reassuring because it means no one will get left behind! My only other complaint is for some of the lecture rooms the chairs are slightly too far away from the desks which means you have to slightly lean forward to be able to write or type on your computer. In terms of other facilities I have no complaints. The library is open 24 hours which is useful for late night studiers and there are computers and printers available for students who don't have access to their own. Rooms and facilities are always kept clean and tidy. The equine and gym facilities are very impressive and open of range to use, not just people who are doing those specific courses, which makes all the facilities very inclusive!

When it comes to classes/ lectures it is obvious that lecturers are ver passionate about what they are teaching. Many have personal experiences that they share with us that help us really understand what they are teaching because we are able to apply it to real life examples. In some classes some topics do become. bit repetitive which can make it very hard to stay focused in class when we keep going over the same thing. This is for memory recollection and may be helpful for some people, but for me personally its not the best way that I personally learn. Another critique I have is the one on one tutor time we are provided with. We get one hour in total for the whole academic school year, which for some people would be more than enough but for other people they might need a little more help and guidance. The hour is normally split into two half hour sessions where we talk to our tutor and say what we're enjoying and what we need to improve on and other general questions like that. If we want to split the session up even more we are able to do so, but thus still doesn't give us additional time. If we are in desperate need of more time though, we are able to ask for it. Although I am only in my first year I've already been getting emails from my nurse leader about potential placement and internship options. This is very helpful because I believe its never too early to start preparing for when the time comes and seeing what potential options might be. We have also been emailed with opportunities to attend webinars which talk about research opportunities and other topics that relate to our course and classes we have. This is one of my favourite things because I wouldn't have known about these webinars if its weren't for the course leader sharing them with us. So far I am pleased with the facilities offered to the animal students. We have big, sanitary labs for when we have practicals and we have facilities that house animals that we are able to work and volunteer with. We have a walled garden with many different animals, some that students will have never seen in person before. There is also an indoor facility with many reptiles and aquatic animals which we also have access to and opportunities to work with.

Not the biggest complaint but my block is the furthest away from everything on campus, which I don't mind because I love a good walk. Being that it is the furthest away also means that it is quite quiet and peaceful there normally which is really nice when it comes to going to bed or trying to have a quiet day in. The actual accommodation here is wonderful. There are multiple options you can look at to see what suits you best. There are many onsite options as well as Hartpury run accommodation in Gloucester, so if people wanted to they could live in the town centre. The onsite accommodation blew me away when I first stepped foot in my room. We are provided with our own bathrooms, a spacious desk, a mini fridge and plenty of storage space. The room was also bigger than I was expecting, considering it was just a regular sized room. The communal kitchen area is also impressive with lots of cupboard space and sitting space for students to come in and cook and socialise. I pay extra to have the larger kitchen with a communal area which is definitely worth paying the extra few pounds to me! Each block has their own block manager. These managers are very safety conscious and if they notice a threat they will bring it up with the tenants of the block. This is nice to know because it eliminates the risk of a fire occurring or anything else of that nature. We are able to email or message our block managers on teams and they are always very quick to answer our concerns. The areas around our accommodation blocks are also maintained very well. There is never trash around and the ground/ grass is frequently cut and maintained. When it comes to sanitation we have a cleaner who cleans our communal areas and the halls which is another added plus. For the ladies in the accommodation we our also given sanitary bins that get emptied by professionals to keep everything and everyone clean and sanitary. This is nice because this means we don't have to put our sanitary products in a normal bin and through it away with the general waste stuff, this reduces the chance of contamination. We all have access to wifi in our blocks which normally works very well, although there are some areas (like the kitchen) where it is a little slower than it normally is. the Wifi is available almost everywhere on campus. The signal can be kind of hit or miss, which is only really an issue is there is no wifi, but Luke mentioned, there is wifi almost everywhere on campus
