One of the best aspects of my university experience has been the supportive lecturers and the creative freedom within my course. As a Fashion Design student, I really value having access to specialist facilities, equipment, and the opportunity to develop my own concepts. I also appreciate how industry-focused the course is – working on live projects and collaborations has helped me grow in confidence and professionalism. As a mature student and single parent, flexibility and understanding from staff have made a big difference. The sense of community within the course is very motivating, and I feel encouraged to push my ideas further.

In terms of improvement, better communication around unexpected disruptions (such as timetable changes or campus issues) would be helpful. More flexibility with deadlines during exceptional circumstances would also support students balancing studies with family responsibilities. Overall, my experience has been positive, creative, and personally transformative.
