Fashion Design degrees

In 1 semester I had time of explorations and many curious finds. Great course, nice people both students and the staff. Help whenever I need and facilities that put other unis in the dust. The student union adds so much room for opportunities and helping me perfect my social skills. Overall I'm having great time

It is great as there are a lot of green zones, a lot of parks, etc. There are a lot of students and it’s easy to make friends. The bad part is that the amount of coursework doesn’t let me totally enjoy all of the amenities

What makes my uni a great place to study is their student support. They try to help their students in any way possible to ensure that students get the best out of their education. I think it would be better if the university put more effort into societies and clubs such as sporting clubs and teams . It would help the university to have more of a community and really showcase other talents other than what students already study on their courses. My university do have societies and some sporting teams, however some of the societies don’t run anymore and it’s not made to be as big as it was when I first heard about it before I joined uni. I think it’s important to have that feel of community and university culture and to also show the inclusiveness of different cultures, groups and activities in which people associate them selves with.

i love the facilities at this uni, the library and the teaching is great. there are many places for all types of students ,quiet or not, to go and the nightlife in the city is prety decent. it is quite affordable compared to other universitys close by. the societies are fantastic aswell. the university could improve on certain teaching aspects in the first year to ease us into how very independant it all is

The university has supportive lecturers, good learning facilities, and a friendly environment. There are plenty of resources like libraries and online materials that help students succeed. It also offers a diverse community, which makes it easy to meet people from different backgrounds and feel included.

I think that the uni needs more availability for booking tutorials and things. I think we should be able to sell our art in the uni reception too. I think the uni is great in regards to student support

The University Location is great for those who aren't fussed about city life as it is in a quiet location. I found the environment and facilities great throughout the years. The mental health team could be better, the SU can be challenging to get appointments with and the wellbeing team can be unprofessional which I didn't expect especially now there is a Mental Health Charter Award. Accessibility have been amazing though if I ever have an issues or need help with DSA related issues.

The modules are clearly organised, and there’s a strong emphasis on applying psychological theory to real-world settings, which makes the content feel relevant rather than purely academic. The teaching staff are generally approachable and knowledgeable, and many have practical or research experience that they bring into lectures and seminars. Another highlight is the range of resources available. NTU provides good access to online journals, research databases, and study spaces, which is especially useful for assignments and dissertations. The course also gradually builds your research skills, particularly in statistics and methods, which are essential for psychology but often difficult—NTU tends to scaffold this learning quite well. The campus environment is also a plus. It’s modern, well-maintained, and has a supportive atmosphere. There are plenty of societies and opportunities to get involved, which helps balance academic work with social life. Worst aspects / areas for improvement: A common challenge is the heavy focus on statistics and research methods, which can feel overwhelming—especially if you don’t have a strong maths background. While support is available, it can sometimes feel fast-paced, and not everyone finds the teaching style in this area accessible. Another downside is that feedback on assignments can occasionally be inconsistent or not detailed enough to clearly guide improvement. This can make it harder to understand how to progress between grades. Some lectures, particularly in larger modules, can feel quite impersonal due to class size. More interactive or discussion-based sessions would improve engagement and deepen understanding. Finally, like many psychology degrees, there can be a gap between theory and hands-on experience. More placement opportunities or practical exposure (e.g., working with clients or in applied settings) would make the course even stronger for those planning careers in mental health or applied psychology. As a final year student, reflecting I can confidently say this course has been a great place to study and grow both professionally and personally. I love the course and I have made some of my closest friends here in Bournemouth, which has created a supportive and collaborative environment throughout my time studying. The teaching staff are highly knowledgeable and have had so much experience in the industry to share, they are approachable and genuinely invested in our toolkit. One of the strongest aspects of the course is the opportunity to collaborate with the Bournemouth Film School. This has been an invaluable experience, allowing me to work on graduate films, understand professional screen practice, and begin building industry connections before graduating. Overall, this course has been an extremely positive and formative experience, and I would highly recommend it to any student looking to develop their craft! Go for it!

One of the best aspects of studying at De Montfort University is the supportive and diverse environment. As an international student, I feel welcomed and included. The university has strong student support services, especially the Disability Advice and Support team, who are understanding and helpful. The MSc Project Management course is practical and career-focused. The modules are well-structured, and seminars encourage discussion and real-life application of concepts. The lecturers are approachable and provide useful feedback on assignments. Student life in Leicester is also a positive experience. The city is affordable compared to other UK cities, and everything is accessible. The campus facilities, including the library and study spaces, are modern and comfortable for independent learning. While the university offers good support, sometimes communication about attendance expectations and academic requirements could be clearer, especially for students managing health or personal challenges. In addition, more flexibility in seminar attendance for students with documented disabilities could make the experience less stressful. Providing recorded seminar discussions (where possible) would help students who occasionally cannot attend in person. Overall, De Montfort University is a supportive and career-oriented institution, but improving flexibility and communication would make it even better.
