I’ve only spent two weeks at the University of Gloucestershire and I can’t help but to appreciate the university’s commitment to students employability through having a well suited career studio and career hub having industry links through placements and internships. Another aspect of the university that I found fascinating is the university’s commitment to protecting the planet by ensuring commitment to her 2030 Carbon Net Zero plans. Also, the university’s support for students is too notch through the help zone and the library and IT sections open for 24 hours to support students. Lastly, the student union is independent of the university and union is able to protect the interests of its members independently. I’ve only been here for two weeks and I’ve not had any worst experience yet.

In my two weeks here, we’re being introduced to the university resources and we’ve also been introduced to the course. By doing these, we have made contacts with the course leader and some lecturers and I must say that everyone both academic and non-academic staff at the university are quite, friendly, approachable and are an important resource for the university. They’re well blended in their approach to disseminating the learnings to students, they have good understanding of the subject matter and are very punctual in class. The approaches to learning that I have seen in my two weeks at the University are quite interactive, ensuring everyone contributes to what’s being discussed and having a quick groupings to make quick presentations, assignments and assessments. These approaches are the most appropriate in ensuring that learnings are passed to students in the most optimal way in my opinion. The business school facilities are quite top notch and definitely a really nice place to study. All the class environments are quite tidy and all facilities to ensure that the students have the best of experience are present in the business school facility. I appreciate the face to face approach of lectures as this makes it easier for knowledge to be impacted in my opinion. The lecturers are expects in the fields with quite an experience in the academia. You can already read this from class interactions with the lecturers. The lecturers are quite approachable both in class and after class. Finally, I must say that I am having quite an experience already at the University of Gloucestershire.
