MMU is actually such a nice uni. Many people don't like it and don't give it a chance as its a metropolitan, but as its a newer uni, everything is brand new and the facilities are amazing. The business hub is like being in some high tech banking office, honestly the best business centre I have seen. I studied economics however I'm transferring to another uni, hopefully russel group just because I want to go to a uni with a higher reputation. Its such a shame cos mmu really doesn't get the recognition it deserves, the lectures are great, so helpful, especially during exam time, like they'll do anything to help, have extra lessons for you or put on extra lectures, and i really haven't heard about that from anyone else. Its also really fast paced and moving, like we tweet our lectures and Skype them for help. The student union i can't really comment on, i know they've built a new one this year and its meant to be amazing, so thats good. Accomadation isn't great if you apply through clearing, i wasn't given a hall which was really annoying and i missed out on that experience (another reason why i want to move), but the halls i did go to and had friend at, especially wilmslow park had such a great community vibe and always something going on. However, i did make a lot of friend in my halls s it was okay (i suggest looking into victoria point halls for people that don't have a room) City wise its actually amazing, clubs are so good, and so many different clubbing areas as well as the deans gate locks (a mini club strip) but theres so much more to do in mac but you have to look for it, like hot tub cinemas and drive through open cinemas etc. If your not bothered about reputation i would really recommend this uni, i had so much fun!

The facilities are nearly perfectly clean, the location is in the centre of the city. The campus is nice, but a bit to much grey and glass. Some other colors (like green paint) would be less depressing. The students union could do with more specific interest based clubs (such as a walking club). I feel that there should be a lot less introductions, we did not get productive until the first week. We could have done much more.

I am first year and have just started. Cannot say much other than actually starting takes two weeks and could be much quicker. Facilities are nice but a little too grey.
