This course is designed to prepare you for studying on any of our economics pathways. It will help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to study for the full honours degree, even if you dont currently meet the academic requirements. You'll develop your study skills including academic writing and personal and professional development to start you off in the best possible way for your degree. You will learn more about business in a global and national context, and approaches to leading and managing in organisations. The foundation year also gives you the ability to develop your analytical skills and learn how to incorporate data to add real value to achieve organisational objectives. Once youve passed, youll be ready to start your degree course. That means your degree will take four years, or five years if it includes a work placement or year studying abroad.

BA foundation year is a stepping stone to further qualifications and an exciting career in the field of economics. Our course will help you develop a host of highly sought after skills, such as problem-solving, analytical skills and the ability to interpret data. We work closely with employers, and they know that our graduates are ready for work in this fast-paced sector. Pass Access to HE Diploma in a relevant subject with a minimum 74 UCAS Tariff points.

IB Diploma with minimum 24 points overall or 72-80 UCAS Tariff points from Higher Level. If you plan to meet the Level 2 course requirements through your IB Diploma you will need to achieve Higher Level 4 or Standard Level 5 in English and Higher Level 4 or Standard Level 4 in Mathematics
