Facilities are alright, nothing to write home about. The location is far enough from the city center to not encroach on the high street but close enough its not isolated. However if you do not enjoy clubbing or the pub there is very little for you to do in terms of free events. All societies require membership fees, some of which are very expensive. Campus itself looks okay but the Brayford pool smells incredibly sour as soon as the water gets slightly warm

Lots of in person hours, office hours are a mystery but lecturers are solid in terms of email replies. Lecturers do however, just read from powerpoint slides, while telling us NOT to read from powerpoint slides during presentations

I think the atmosphere at this uni is wonderful. The city of Lincoln itself is so charming and the campus sits in a nice location beside the brayford. There are clear efforts to maintain natural/green areas which i value a lot. The Students Union is very proactive and there always seems to be some sort of event going on. Support is easily accessed in terms of academia and wellbeing. However, the campus GP is widely known to be rather appalling, with people waiting weeks and weeks for appointments. It seems it is severely understaffed. There is definitely an issue with onboarding patients at the start of the academic year the back log can be ridiculous, with a friend of mine being told there were 700+ applications which was why they could not be seen by a GP until weeks away. Another issue i have noticed is the lack of womens toilets in Minerva Building, with those existing often being merged with disabled persons - while male toilets are abundant. One is even located in the Vice Chancellors office which is awkward? And despite having been at lincoln for 3 years already, I find some buildings - especially minerva to be a maze with unclear signposting to room locations.

I think there is an interesting mix of assignments. I enjoy that there is a 'flipped learning' module included this year - encouraging us to work collaboratively with our peers. I think the lecturers are very responsive and helpful. Most lectures are interesting and seminars are well -planned. I think the main issue I have found and many of my peers have also mentioned is timetabling. While it would be preferable and extremely beneficial to have time to work a part-time job whilst studying - for financial reasons and also for gaining experience - this is made impossible with timetabled sessions not being at regular times each week or even each fortnight, and also being spread across 4 or even 5 days what could be condensed into 2. Most days I am in for only 1 hour, in the middle of the day, which makes working around sessions extremely difficult. I think this is also hard for people who travel a long way to get to campus, it may be a 2 hour (Each way) trip being made 5 days a week which is not only a financial burden but also environmental.

I think it was not as much of an issue when i stayed there myself - but the prices for St Marks have climbed ridiculously in the last few years and it is now very expensive for what you actually get. I think charging to wash and dry your clothing is quite cheeky as it is a necessary task. The location is near to campus and buildings felt safe. Management had a good presence and were easy to contact.
