Shocking support for students. Although coronavirus was unprecedented and hard for everyone that does not excuse the lack of support. It would take days for lecturers to get back to you with an answer to your question via email. And would not answer their phones quite often. Ridiculous for the amount of money you had paid! Lecturers would post your grades late, very often might I add without any explanation. In second year for the European Union module, we waited an additional 2 weeks to receive our grades back! We were not informed by our lecturer, instead she told 2 students who passed it on to the rest of the class. The worst aspect was the lack of support for learning disabilities. My exams were a mockery! Every single time they would forget to allocate extra time, causing further stress to myself. Especially when they were remote timed. I would waste an hour of my time arguing with someone to get me my extra time! And I am not the only person who experienced this. One of my fellow students was given 10% extra time for the first 2 years before someone read her learning support plan and told her that it was 25% extra time she was entitled to. The location is amazing. But I would suggest going to alternative university! I will be for my masters of law.

Majority was online due to Covid. However, one lecturer kept bringing her daughter in to the lectures. I understand that child care was hard to get during Covid, but my friend’s son kept coming into the screen and she was told off!!! Double standards really

York is an amazing place with wonderful people, there are restaurants and hotels hiring students constantly.
