The campus is very pretty, feels very safe (given there's campus security), and has all of your essentials on there, however, I would say a few teaching buildings arw outdated and sometimes I feel there's not enough study spaces. A good thing about being here is that I was still able to continue with ny deiving lessons (first started in Northampton). Over here has more tests available (as it's a smaller area) so I managed to pass my driving test. Driving is a lot easier here in my opinion. The worst aspect as a student is living off-campus. The buses here are horrific (I have to take the number 25) so I tend to avoid using them. As a result I have to walk from mine to Keele (takes about 45-1hr walk, which kills. There are so many hills here. I tried to get support from the university to move back on campus as its reallt affecting my mental health but they never helped me.

Staff are wonderful. Really lovely and approachable - they take the time and effort to talk and get ro know you. You feel seen in the course (easier when the class sizes are roughly 50). Most of the learning is in person but we sometimes have online learning. We have a lot of assignments though which are online e.g. uploading lab work and analyzing data. Course hours aren't too bad. I'm in 4 days a week but sometimes it's awkward with a 1 or 2 hour gap. Other days are annoying when I have 1 lecture for 2 hours. Sometimes feels pointless coming in but I always attend. We have a lot of contact with lecturers e.g. asking questions, emailing them, being in labs, seeing them in their offices. We also have our own academic mentors we see for times per academic year

When I compare prices of the accommodation to other universities, I'm shocked. The prices here are quite expensive- especially given that the price I payed could have given me an ensuite at a different university. I didn't mind where I was last year as I shared with 4 other people but this isn't the case for everyone. I've heard others had to share with 6-8+ We sometimes struggled with space (especially with the fridges) and how there's not enough cupboards for everyone. The kettle there was very slow, and we had issues with but of the fridge breaking (never got fixed). I did like being on campus though, my room was quite nice, nice desk space and lots of plugs. It was good how we had cleaners too
