Diving into interior architecture has been like unlocking a hidden passion within me. The best part has undoubtedly been the creative freedom to reimagine spaces and bring innovative designs to life. I've loved learning about the history of design, exploring different styles, and understanding how people interact with their environments. The hands-on projects, from sketching initial concepts to creating detailed models, have been incredibly rewarding. There's a unique thrill in seeing a design evolve from a simple idea into a tangible representation of my vision. Plus, collaborating with classmates and receiving feedback from instructors has broadened my perspective and pushed me to think outside the box. On the flip side, the workload can be intense and demanding. Balancing studio projects, technical drawings, and theoretical coursework often feels overwhelming. The pressure to constantly generate fresh ideas and meet tight deadlines can lead to burnout and creative blocks. Additionally, the cost of materials and software can be a significant financial burden, especially when working on complex projects. And let's not forget the dreaded critiques, where your work is dissected and analyzed in front of your peers – while constructive, they can sometimes feel disheartening, especially when you've poured your heart and soul into a design. Despite the challenges, I wouldn't trade my experience in interior architecture for anything. The opportunity to shape the built environment and create spaces that enhance people's lives is incredibly fulfilling. I've learned so much about design principles, technical skills, and the importance of collaboration. While the path may be demanding, the rewards of seeing my designs come to fruition and knowing that I have the potential to make a positive impact on the world make it all worthwhile. I'm excited to continue honing my skills and pursuing my passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces.

Living in uni halls has been a blast! What I've enjoyed most is the sense of community. Being surrounded by people my age, all going through similar experiences, has made it easy to make friends and feel like I belong. There's always someone around to grab a meal with, study with, or just hang out and chat. The social events, like movie nights and themed parties, have been a great way to meet new people and create lasting memories. Plus, having everything conveniently located – from the library to the dining hall – has made it easy to balance my studies with my social life. On the downside, the lack of privacy can be a challenge. Sharing a small room with a roommate, or even just living in close proximity to so many people, means there's not always a quiet space to escape to when I need to focus or unwind. The noise levels can also be disruptive, especially during exam periods or when people are coming and going at all hours. And let's be honest, the food in the dining hall isn't always the most exciting – sometimes I crave a home-cooked meal or the freedom to experiment in the kitchen. Despite the drawbacks, I wouldn't trade my time in uni halls for anything. It's been an incredible opportunity to grow as a person, learn to live independently, and build lifelong friendships. I've learned to navigate shared living spaces, resolve conflicts, and appreciate the importance of communication. While I'm looking forward to having my own space in the future, I'll always cherish the memories and experiences I've gained from living in uni halls. It's been an essential part of my university journey.

University has been a positive experience overall, especially because some of my tutors are genuinely supportive and always willing to help. The campus environment is also really good, and the student meal deals make day to day life much easier. However, not everything is perfect, some modules don’t clearly explain what needs to be done during classes, which can make the learning process confusing at times.

The best thing about my course is the support I get from my tutors, especially Andy and Timo, who are always available, both over email and in person whenever I need extra help. Our timetable also offers a good balance, with a mix of on-campus and off-campus hours that gives me enough time to rest, catch up on work, and even get involved in extracurricular activities.
