Canterbury Christ Church University is such a great university. The student union are so active and make sure there’s lots to do for everyone and are so welcoming to new and old students. The campus is so lovely to walk around, having a pond that is so nice to sit by between lectures. The teaching is top notch for my course and is well organised so that it’s easy to follow along without being left behind or not knowing what’s going on with a really nice group of lecturers. It’s a great location being close to the city centre with loads to do there as well. The societies are great on top of all of that as well, being part of one has made my university experience so much better having people to talk to with things in common. I got into the university on clearing and the process was so easy and smooth compared to what I’ve been told about other universities which just made me feel even more secure in the university. The university just makes everything straight forward. Everything is so easy to access, like student support, by having a student zone with friendly people to help students with anything they need. All in all this university is amazing and I wouldn’t want to study anywhere else.

Teaching is amazing. The lecturers are so supportive and easy to get on with which makes learning so much easier and more fun. All lectures are taught in person but recorded so that if you miss a lecture it’s all there so you don’t fall behind and miss out on loads of important information. The lecturers are also there for extra support if you do feel like you’re behind in studies. The course hours are great with three lectures and 2 seminars a week. They’re great timings as well so it doesn’t feel like a complete overload of work. Were each assigned a PAT (personal academic tutor) to help with queries and other course related problems that were having which helps me so much with having difficulties with some aspects of the course. They make it easy to access support and help when needed. The only annoying part is having a lot of 9am lectures and seminars.

The value for money at Petros is great. The rooms are new and clean and not many problems at all. The kitchens are a bit tired and could use a spruce up and some better storage/fridge space as that is lacking for a 7 bedroom flat. The room allocation is random and your put into a room based on when you are accepted to be a student. My flatmates aren’t the best and it could’ve been a better allocation system as I’m living with a couple of second year students which makes it harder to get on with them.

I love my uni, it’s really close to the city and is immersive in the culture of Canterbury. The faculty are really helpful and reachable, they always seem to make time for you which allows you to feel prioritised. The student union is always friendly and welcoming and always has interesting events going on

All of my course is now in person, with in person chats but online available as well. They are really supportive and helpful with my learning disabilities and always take time to reexplain things or provide other resources for me to use

It was a great halls. The location was great 5 minutes to both uni and city centre. It had a really friendly homey aspect to it and the security and staff at hand were always helpful. I’ve met some of my best friends there.
