My course at Hartpury uses a great balance of practical sessions, lectures, and independent research, which makes learning engaging and relevant. The blended learning approach allows flexibility through online resources while keeping valuable in-person contact for hands-on work with animals and data analysis. Lecturers are very approachable and supportive, always willing to explain complex topics or provide extra guidance on AI tools and behaviour research. Course hours are well-structured, giving enough time to complete projects and explore personal research interests. To improve, I’d suggest adding more workshops on programming, machine learning, and data analysis, as these skills are essential for applying AI to animal behaviour studies.

Like how it is a rural campus and it isn't directly in a city or town. Some of the teachers really care about their students which makes it a better place to learn. The accommodation would need a lot of improving as would for the amount of money we pay, what we get is no where near what we pay for. Also charging for stupid little stuff that breaks, like a toilet seat which the uni should be able to afford considering the money that they get paid. I pay over 6 grand for accommodation and i wonder everyday where that money actually goes.

I enjoy what we are learning. Some of the teachers aren't the best and can be hard to learn from. I have one teacher who I really like and get on with however.

I do not like the halls. The beds are tiny and are so uncomfortable. I can feel every spring in the mattress, it is awful. The shower is dreadful and clearly has never heard of pressure since it has absolutely none of it, it's a disgrace honestly. The kitchen is too small for 10 people and the sofas aren't comfortable. The space in the kitchen hasn't been used wisely with there being a huge cupboard with only one shelf. The cupboard space in my room is good, I have all the cupboard space I need. The radiator sensor is pointless as I have to be in my room and moving for it to work. If I want to leave for class in the morning and come back to a nice, warm and cosy room I can't as the radiator won't turn on if I'm not there. Equally if I sit and my desk and work away but haven't moved below the sensor won't work. Halls are far too ridiculously expensive for what we get, it is absolute daylight robbery. Some say the room is too small, yes it isn't big but I personally don't have a problem with the space. It is fine for me. My room is £1500 more than my boyfiend's and all i get is a cooker, washing machine and TV (that doesn't work).
