Derby is a great place to study as it is inclusive, has a wide range of societies and is easy to navigate. It could be improved by having additional seating for busy lunch times, be better organised in the sense of enrolment (receiving the invitation earlier), getting timetables organised and sent out earlier to allow students time to put things in place before starting (childcare, work commitments etc).

The course is thoroughly interesting and covers a wide range of topics. The university has good facilities which allow us to put our practical skills to the test. The majority of teaching staff are friendly, approachable and engaging. Things which could be improved is some of the teaching is crammed into a very short space of time and, although I understand it is a full time practical course Research Methods in particular is taught over a far too short space of time.

These halls are in close proximity of all university campuses and the city centre. The halls manager was amazing, friendly and always very helpful. The RA team were all very friendly and helpful. The maintenance team were all very good and worked quickly and efficiently. Car parking facilities were particularly good, always security available to help. Good room sizes and common room facilities. There could be better washing facilities (i.e. more washing machines/tumble dryers). The rest of the accomodation could do with updating as other halls (Agard court, St. Christophers Court en-suite rooms) have higher spec rooms.

The campus looks good and is very spacious.

Lectures are recorded which helps revision
