Really good facilities except not much seating area at young street. Most lunchtimes we are having to find floor space to sit and each lunch as it gets very busy. Especially when in the skills labs. otherwise we would usually stay in the classroom to eat. Not dived into the student life due to not living on campus. Nursing involves shift work for placement so unable to commit to clubs etc. I don't feel as if I can comment on students union either because of this. During induction someone from students union came to speak to us to ensure we knew what was on offer so that was great. Lots of information online too. Not had a chance to explore all facilities available. We are at young street all the time when not online so access to resources are limited. We then rely on online sources more. This limits the contact with people and can make it feel lonely rather than being able to access support at that time. Great location. Lots around and easy to get to with the park and ride or parking apps. Support has been amazing from university so far. Particularly the disability support team have been phenomenal in making student life as easier as possible. Lecturers have been willing to listen and help or point me in the right direction if needed.

Too much online learning. This makes support less accessible and is isolating. I lose focus and struggle to concentrate and listen online. At interview I was told it was all face to face so was completely unprepared. Great skills lab sessions although time could be used more wisely in there as there is usually a lot of waiting around. Course content has been great in the variety that has been covered although this has felt rushed and no depth to topics. Also very little time has been given to learn a lot of content. This has felt overwhelming and has been a struggle for many. Contact with lecturers has been great. Personal tutor has regularly checked in with us individually and as a group. Opinions and concerns have been listened to. The quality of teaching has overall been great. Sometimes their expectations have been too high and felt they are teaching us at a PICU level rather than student nurses. This can also be a positive as prepares us for careers after registration. Career prospects have briefly been discussed, but placement gives a great insight and the more placements the better. Currently loving my placement and have found my speciality although open minded about this.
