The scenery makes the vibe and energy for students so great, and there is very accessible support from staff who are friendly. Residence life is also great for finding fun things to do as well as ensuring our accommodation experience is positive
The university offers lots of support and there is a good balance between studying and having a social life.
It’s a lovely campus and course However the student culture can be very posh and it’s hard to deal with if your not from that background
Cute and small campus. Its looking a bit tired in some places but its currently being renovated. There was a lack of field trips, especially residentials. However, the staff really care and you are treated as an individual. Would recommend to anyone.
Attending Exeter University is less an academic pursuit and more an exercise in intellectual erosion. While most universities strive to be 'marketplaces of ideas', this campus has become a walled garden of enforced silence. The most striking feature of the environment is the absolute absence of free speech. Inquiry is not met with counterargument, but with administrative hostility. There is a palpable weight in the classrooms, a collective holding of breath, because the boundaries of 'acceptable' thought are both narrow and shifting. To question the status quo isn't seen as critical thinking; it’s treated as heresy. Disturbingly, discrimination isn't a bug here; it’s a feature. It sits at the very centre of the university's ethos, woven into the fabric of both social interactions and official policy. Rather than fostering a community of diverse peers, the institution actively categorises and divides, creating a hierarchy that feels arbitrary, ethically and deeply entrenched. Faculty members often leverage their positions to silence or intimidate students who don't align with their personal ideologies. Grades and opportunities are used as leverage rather than rewards for merit Ethical guidelines are applied inconsistently. Rules are weaponized against 'outsiders' while blatant misconduct by those within the inner circle is ignored or actively covered up
Love it here
Best: location is gorgeous, many outdoorsy people is lovely Worst: Not much taught content a lot is self taught and reliant on you doing things by yourself to do well. Not enough weekly biweekly exams and such to make sure people work. Not many opportunity for you to get to know course mates.
Nice environment
Lovely location and student support is excellent, pastoral and disability support. Bus prices are expensive and some study spaces are a bit tired
Best is surfing, but worst is the level inclusivity for LGBTQ.
Meeting my friends Worst: it rains
Best - by the beach and a very cool rock collection and great geology facilities Worst – far from home
Lovely campus and location It's exeters 2nd campus and I feel it is often neglected interested of resources in comparison to main campus
Great location and friendly people
Best experience is the location in Cornwall and being able to explore and go to scenic spots whenever

The campus is really green and the facilities are excellent in general. When it comes to sports facilities, the outdoor pitches are amazing and there is dedicated indoor space for various sports (including cricket and tennis.). But to improve them, a 25-50m pool and a rowing tank could be added. The study spaces are good in general but during busy periods on campus it can be difficult to find a place to sit.
My lecturers have been, in general, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but contact hours do feel limited
East Park is really modern and everything works well (the WiFi, the kitchen appliances, etc.). The laundry facilities don't include quite enough washers and dryers for all the students living there, and the maintenance team didn't always come to fix issues logged with the reception team.
