I've really enjoyed the diverse range of people, academic opportunities and extra-curricular activities. I like that I can study linguistics as a course for 3 years rather than just optional modules as part of another degree. The accommodation is not as cheap as other places, but relative to south of England (with electricity, internet etc. included for three years) it's good value. My favorite things to do in Cambridge is walking by the river/punting/kayaking. Having said that, I have joined the kayaking, karate, college orchestra, university wide orchestra, the union departing society and German society. The student's union is also good for giving the students a voice. My academic tutor personal tutor, college nurse and counseling service provide very good support services. In terms of getting a job, Cambridge has an excellent reputation though a linguistics degree is less vocational than other subjects.
My courses and lecturers are awesome, there are loads of cafes in Cambridge, and hopefully I will be able to get a job after leaving. I've never seen anything about the Student's union.
It's great! There are diverse subjects which are wide ranging not too wishy washy. Quite difficult but fulfilling; and suits your needs. I enjoy going to cafes here and the Fitzwilliam museum. Facilities wise things are slow bureaucratically, but otherwise great. I think the students union here are sometimes too militant but they are good at what they do, and I have joined the Japanese and international development society here at the university. However the accommodation is not so great, and looking for a job will be hard, but you will have to look around.
Don't come here, save yourself and your mental health.
I'm having a great time so far.
Cambridge University is very good. The sports clubs and libraries are excellent here. I'm not really involved with the student union but I know about them. We have very good supervisors here looking after us at University.
I love getting to study a ridiculously obscure subject. Cambridge is a cute city so it makes up for it quietness. Most facilities are great but some are underused especially in the college. There is a chaplain, nurse and tutors here for support.
There is just as much work as you make but you deal with it. The course is okay. The course content is much harder than at other universities. Some of the facilities here are pretty average.
There is lots of work here at Cambridge. The lecturers are really good. The city is quite quiet. The libraries here are excellent. I really like the student union. I needed support services in the first year and they couldn't help me at all.
Cambridge is a great place to come and study. There are no good night life spots here at Cambridge thoundergraduateh. I am part of the dance society and it's really great. The student union do great things. I hope my job prospects are great.
My time at Cambridge has been wonderful. I have everything I need. The clubs and societies are wonderful but the student union are awful.
There is lots of work to do at Cambridge. The course and the lecturers are okay. City life in Cambridge is good. There are plenty of clubs and societies to choose from.
Studying at Cambridge is very stressful. You need to have a break-there's too much to do in the small amount of time. Cambridge is a great city to live in and study - it is so pretty. Clubs and societies are great and there is lots to do. The College union is good.
I have enjoyed my time here at Cambridge. The night life is pretty good. The libraries are great and there are so many clubs and societies to choose from.
Great uni with great resources and atmosphere in town.
such an inspirational place with really enthusiastic professors
To study at the University of Cambridge is a once in a lifetime opportunity which everyone should take advantage of, if they get the chance. The course that I study, Anglo-Saxon Norse and Celtic, is unique in the world and everyone gets the opportunity to work with world leaders in their fields of study, sometimes on a one to one basis. The college system means that everyone has the opportunity to meet other students from other subjects meaning that your college will end up feeling like a big family. Recently there have been concerns over mental health support and it is true that studying at Cambridge is high pressured, your lecturers and supervisors expect you to do the best that you can, and the high pressure environment is something that anyone planning on applying here should consider. Some people thrive in this environment but others need more support. Support is available from several areas, your subject (your Director of Studies), your college (your tutor and nurse and often a councilor) and there is also a university wide counselling service too), but the most important thing is that you ask for help if you need it.
Fab experience in terms of traditions that you'd never get anywhere else, but can be very stressful, and be warned, it's tough! The best bits include the huuuuge variety of clubs and societies - rowing, other sporting teams, go-karting, music societies, even tea and ice cream societies, both at a college and university level. On the other hand, if you're wanting to go out partying all the time, it's not the place for you! Most people I know party a couple of times a term after first year (and even in first year not a huge amount after Fresher's), but the Formals (3-course Hogwarts-style candle-lit dinners) make up for it!
An incredible place to study, full of inspiring students, lecturers and staff. I would never have had the opportunities to meet so many influential people had I not applied here to study! Although the work can be extremely challenging, stressful and at time demotivating, I feel that Cambridge really gives you £9,000 worth of education. What's more, there's no denying that my degree will be more than worth it in the jobs market-employers are very keen even on attracting first years!

I would recommend coming here.
