The best aspects are the people. The sense of the community here at Warwick is unmatched. It's such a privilege to be able to study in an environment that's so diverse! Everyone is so lovely and you'll definitely find you'll place here. One bad aspect is perhaps the distance. Apart from Coventry and Leamington Spa, there's not much to do around. However, the vast amount of societies and events that Warwick has to offer on campus means this has never been a problem for me!
Plenty of useful study spaces and facilities for students, well-stocked library and online databases. Excellent gym. Worst aspect, is that several people feel as though the university does not act on students' concerns and would rather dismiss them,
Best: - The FAB - Campus - The nature Worst: - Being in coventry - Prices in rootes
Good uni but take me 20mins to the tesco
The course is incredible, they have incredible facilities that make coming here worth it. The campus is normally nice, especially if you are part of Life Science or the Medical school. The location could be improved as it is around half an hour to coventry or Leamington, although it is very close to Birmingham from there.
campus is amazing, nightlife is terrible. Transport is alright. Accommodation is pretty good departments are good. Campus looks not appealing.
Lots of free time for self developing
The best thing about Warwick is the campus, especially in first year, when you live on campus, it is a great place to settle in and make friends quickly. I would improve the prices on campus, as students are limited to what they can buy and have to pay extortionate prices for basic necessities.
The campus is very scenic with lots of wildlife. However, it can get a bit dull, particularly living on campus as there is not many places to visit. There are some nice buildings to study in although they are usually very busy. Everything on campus (e.g. laundry, gym membership, food) is very expensive.
Great places to study like the FAB and library. The campus has a few ugly building (60s architecture). I have not really used the SU.
One of the best aspects of my university experience has been the excellent facilities and well-maintained buildings, which create a great environment for both studying and socializing on campus. The teaching, at least for my course, has been really engaging, with knowledgeable lecturers who make the material interesting and accessible. The campus itself is welcoming and vibrant, with plenty of green spaces and a strong sense of community, making it an enjoyable place to study. However, one downside is that the university is quite secluded, meaning you often have to travel elsewhere for a more active social life. While there are events and activities on campus, if you’re looking for a wider variety of nightlife or entertainment options, you’ll likely need to venture out to nearby towns or cities.
Just believe it could be better in a lot of senses, but maybe I am not maximising the experience.
Warwick is a largely positive environment with mostly friendly staff. Events, although inevitably aimed at 1st years, are alright, but do get old once you’re in 2nd year and beyond. I would also argue that many people (including myself) feel that the Student’s Union doesn’t really do much for students - it’s more so to make the university look good. For £9500, I would expect a better variety of interesting events as well as benefits. As far as the buildings, the FAB is great - I can’t say the same for the science buildings though, they’re very blocky, brutalist creations that haven’t aged well. I would also argue that with some of the lore modern additions, they’re too far away from the centre of campus (eg near the arts centre) for many people to actually appreciate their features! (Such as the water courses etc). There are more than enough study spaces which is good, but lecturers struggle to justify the use of certain spaces, often fighting for rooms, which isn’t helpful.
I really appreciate how passionate the lecturers are
The campus is modern and the societies are thriving. The location is slightly bare compared to city university life.
Everything is good
The facilities and the wide range of opportunities as a student at Warwick, both socially and academically allows me to try new things and to maximise my experience here. The worst aspect of my university experience is how different the physical environment is to home, particularly the lack of green space although this is a more personal aspect rather than a generally negative part of university .
In general, Warwick provides a real sense of community due to the campus feel and the continual events they hold. The facilities (at least the ones i utilise for my course) are incredibly modern and make learning a more enjoyable experience. The only negative i would have to say is the commute for second and thrid years, but Leamington Spa the town most students live in in those years is picturesque and makes the journey worth it
campus is pretty

best: lots of societies/sports clubs, surrounded by countryside worst: not very pretty campus
best: varied module options, creative assessment in one module (and option for this in my dissertation), group project assessments worst: repetitive essay assessments for some modules
best: cleaned every week, spacious bedroom, well-insulated, many flatmates improvements: having a communal area to meet others in the building (not just my flat)
