Great city, amazing professors and a good learning environment with solid peripherals, e.g. places to eat, buy some basic stuff or just study
Best aspects: Very good scenery to walk by every morning when I go to class, passionate teachers who care about your wellbeing, a very good student wellbeing system, loads of ways to get involved around campus due to constant events occurring, amazing student guild system which brings all the students together, various clubs to join for EVERYONE with any hobbies, fun activities and modules, hands-on activities besides just theory classes, like the Makers space activities as well as the multi-disciplinary project, tasty foods in the INTO cafe as well as fun spots around the campus to have a snack or meal. Improvements: Location, as it’s on a steep incline and quite far from student accommodations, example Duryard, making it hectic to walk every morning, better timings for classes- less classes in the evening (6:30) as winter timings make the day shorter and it is dark by 4:30.
Exeter has a nice environment and quite a few well eqquipped study spaces, however I feel like some of the room formats arent handled too well for eg the space near the terrace in the forum building. In terms of the staff most of them are very accomodating however I feel that they can be more responsive and open to feedback : for example i recently contacted the ucas agent in the uni and although they've been active during other meetings, they have yet to return my message. In terms of accepting critism, i feel that the staff can sometimes get a tad defensive ( of course this is natural to student behavior ) but when we are talking about student union affairs, i find it hard to see the point of it existing when the response we get from submitting feedback can be summarised into one sentence, "That's just how it is, its not really our problem and nothings going to change". Internet at this university should also be improved. Other than that, not many complaints. this is still a nice place with a quite friendly community.
Exeter is renowned for its academic excellence, consistently ranking highly in national and international league tables. In order to improve, they could implement more sustainability initiatives that can help reduce the university's environmental footprint and promote eco-friendly practices among students and staff.
Best aspect is the city, small and sweet like a mix between a seaside town and a city. Worst aspect is probably cost of living and rent.
The location of IYO into is located near the forum which is very convenient to grab lunch and into building is very nice to study.

Different people will have different perspectives. But if you are into a quieter and scenic environment, University of Exeter is the best place to be in. The school provides a lot of lesson materials and support for student academic. Many varieties of society and clubs to fit the students' needs. Campus has many facilities such as music studios, sports building, libraries and etc. and stores such as food stores, supermarket, coffee shops and utility/clothing shops.
The lectures have been very helpful and insightful. Many students' study resources have been provided along with support from academic lecturers and tutors. Lecturers and tutors are easy to contact and provide detailed responses to academic questions. Majority of the lectures and tutorials are face-to-face; hence it is more interactive and cause of less distractions. If you are unable to attend the lecture for any reasons or need a rerun of the lecture, there is a recorded lecture on the module page for students to access.
