Very friendly, staff are always supported and feels like a family environment!
Its a small university so has a community feel and lots of support from tutors, the library and facilities are fantastic. The carpark can be a little difficult to park in when busy as a student who commutes (sometimes have to park on the field which isn't ideal in bad weather and can make me late for sessions).
Uni could do more to support students who are struggling. At times it’s really hard to contact anyone when you need help

Really great 👍
BG is a small uni that enables students to focus on work instead of roaming around looking for the lecture room. All the facilities are amazing, however, maybe needing a little modernising.
The best part for me is how accommodating they have been knowing my medical background and my brain surgery. They have put the right support in place for me and given all the help i could need. They also help as much as they can with assignments. one bad thing i could say is maybe improve the amount of teaching time as i feel like it could be more in depth when you the task and hand is difficult.

the perfect small campus uni. i chose bgu because i struggle with anxiety and ocd, and the student support has been amazing. halls accommodation is always clean, and any issues that occur are easily fixed my the accommodation team. the quality of the education i am receiving is of a high standard, and their is enough freedom to discuss and develop ideas as a class. the students union play a large part in student life. they are positively influential and host a number of events for students. they make it known that they are there for any students. bgu offers a number of societies and welcome new ones (i know three that have been founded this year alone). facilities on site are outstanding - only thing is the field needs some form of lighting (although i believe this is being looked into). basically, bgu is a fabulous university.

i love my univeritsy experience ive made my best friends here they are the best support ever.
As a student I feel well supported both academically and personally. I find BGU to be an inclusive setting on the whole, my experience is based on being a mature student with medical and mental health issues. I am also a carer and feel my responsibilities have been taken into consideration when deciding how to support me. The campus has character as befits the older parts of the campus. This can mean not all areas are as accessible as they need to be. It is set in a beautiful area and accessible to plenty of local amenities. It has a full and extensive library, with very helpful and friendly librarians. Perhaps internal communication between departments could be improved.

The campus feels homely and safe to be in. Even after a few months the staff recognise you that are not even involved within my own course. The amount of student support is actually overwhelming which is a good thing. I honestly cannot think of a bad thing to say.
Bishop Grosseteste University is a brilliant university with it historic landmarks that remind for years and the teaching is excellent for all areas of the industries. Due to how small the campus is it has a very welcoming and homely feel to it. The best part about BGU is because it’s so small, your lecturers will know you by name and are always willing to help you if you need it. There were plenty of opportunities for extra curricular activities which always helps to make you stand out from the crowd in terms of employment. Also BGU location is amazing as Lincoln is a lovely city with plenty of shops, great nightlife and a beautiful historical part, up the hill. Such as the cathedral which you can see and hear the bells chime from campus.
All tutors make an effort to know your names and get to know a bit about you. They support you in all your work and you can always email them if you need a bit of extra help. They provide you with books to help with referencing.
The university offers a really homely and welcoming environment, especially for nervous first year students.
The size of the university and its campus really allows a level of 'homely' feeling whilst studying and being on campus. Everyone is friendly, kind and approachable.

Student advice has provided me with a lot of support with mental health and assignments. When going through an issue with a flatmate, the students union was a massive help and support system. We couldn’t ask for anything better. The campus is small so easy to navigate and get to know everyone, although located up the hill and away from major student life
The lack of sporting area to allow different sports teams.
BGU is a great place to study, in a relaxed environment. It offers many opportunities for support, wether this be academically, financially or with more personal matters. The chaplaincy is wonderful as it hosts plenty of events and excursions, that are affordable, which can allow students to have new and excitable experiences, whilst getting the chance to meet others. The chaplaincy is also somewhere that anyone can go for support and guidance. One thing that could be enhanced about the university are the sports and societies, whilst a small range of sports and societies are offered, I feel that more could be done to advertise these societies as me and my friends did not know about the existence of some of them until later on in the year. Also, a wider range of societies could be offered as I do not yet feel that there is something for everyone. I would recommend BGU as a place to study, it has amazing facilities, is close to the lovely city of Lincoln, it has a good student union and overall is a relaxed, comfortable environment.
Campus is easy to navigate. Staff are supportive and helpful. Quite close to the city centre.

Facilities like CELT are very good, however as with all places there are some areas such as staff communication with students, some people seem to not want to respond to messages. There are often technical issues with blackboard and the turn it in systems used for assignments which can’t really be blamed on anyone.
My course isn’t featured on here so I don’t want to judge someone else’s course unfairly
Being on campus right next door to classes was good. The fact people could easily break in was not so good.
