Best aspects: So far, my experience at Surrey has been really positive. The campus has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, which made it easy to settle in as a new student. The facilities are modern, and I’ve found the lecturers and staff to be very supportive and approachable. It’s also been great meeting people through societies and events — there’s a real sense of community here. Worst aspects: Some things could be improved, like the cost of accommodation on campus, which can be quite high. Timetables and communication between departments can also be a bit confusing at times, especially when you’re new and still finding your way around. Overall: Surrey is a great place to study with a strong community feel and lots of support for students. With slightly better communication and more affordable options, it would be even better.

What’s to love: Guildford is a lovely town with a great mix of shops, restaurants, and cafés, making it very student-friendly. It’s close enough to London for day trips and opportunities, yet still peaceful and easy to get around. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, perfect for walks or relaxing weekends. Not so great: Living in Guildford can be expensive, particularly for accommodation and food. Some public transport options are limited outside the town, which can make getting around a bit tricky at times. Overall: It’s a charming, convenient location for students, with lots to do and explore, though costs and transport could be better.

Most liked: The halls are modern, clean, and well-maintained, with good facilities like kitchens, study spaces, and social areas. It’s easy to meet people and make friends, which really helps with settling in as a new student. Least liked: Accommodation can feel quite expensive, and some rooms are smaller than expected. Noise levels can be high at times, especially in shared areas, and it can get tricky to find quiet spaces when needed. Overall: The halls offer a welcoming and social environment with great facilities, though a bit more space and affordable options would improve the experience.

It's diverse with good facilities. However, transport is not as great compared to other universities. Especially when the campuses are far apart. Not enough facilities for Masters students.

As mentioned before
