I think my overall experience in Royal Holloway is pretty good considering the current pandemic which obviously impacted everyone’s lives and changed how we are taught at University

The uni campus is beautiful and the Founders Building is clearly a highlight, as well as the surrounding areas. There are good transport links with bus services and a train station with trains to Central London. However, the area feels quite understimulating and while the Students Union is decent for nightlife, others at different unis are much better. This year’s special guests have overall been underwhelming so far. While there are events held at ATIK Windsor and occasionally Ministry of Sound in London with shuttle buses for cheaper accessibility, there could be improvements made.

The staff are very friendly when you contact them or attend drop ins. So far, my course is only okay in terms of content however I understand that it will get more interesting as the year and my degree progresses, therefore I have been lenient in my rating of subject content.

My room has quite inconsistent access to WiFi which makes it difficult when Facetiming my parents. I like how my particular accommodation has a double bed and en suite bathroom as opposed to shared. It is a good distance from the facilities such as the Students Union and Academic buildings.
