I have enjoyed my 1st year although due to COVID I think I have missed out on certain aspects for example in person teaching and social events. I have been able to make lifelong friends.

It is very clean and there is good facilities. They is a wide range of study spaces.

Everyone has a personal tutor and peer mentor. There is well-being services available.

We have pre recorded lectures. At the start of the year we had inperson workshops but they stopped after Christmas and we then brought online. We have had in person labs through out.

The university itself has amazing facilities for student wellbeing! The scholarships are really supportive awsell! The chemistry department is a bit disorganised

The contact hours are intense. There is a lot of work to do. There isn't as much compulsory reading however to actually understand the content you definitely need to!

The rooms are a really nice size and the flat is quite small so its great if you get overwhelmed! Matinence is not always the best... you definitely have to bug them to fix stuff! The laundrette has also been out for over two weeks so it comes with its issues
