Since joining Abertay university I have received nothing but support in all areas. I am very pleased I decided to go to Abertay. The location is in the perfect spot with access to public transport or parking facilities. The library offers a large amount of resources and different areas including a quiet zone if you work best in that environment. I am confident getting my degree will be made easier by the support of staff and other students on campus.

The best aspects of the course definitely include the lecturers and the module layout. Everything is taught in a way that responds well with students. The ‘worst’ aspects of the course have to be not knowing what placement I will be going on and not knowing how effective the staff will be. Having to be on top of getting everything signed off and sometimes not being listened to by staff on placement makes this difficult. Along with having to work on top of my placement days to get enough money to make ends meet for the month. I am willing to do so as the course is only three years but I believe with the option of a student loan for nurses the stress of the workload would dramatically decrease.
