It is a really student-focussed city, with plenty of events and things to keep busy with!

The course is fantastic; the lecturers are all keen to help and provide an interesting learning environment. This is particularly good now that the course is back to being taught in person. The organisation could sometimes be better.

Would have been good to have a survey / be asked more questions to better match potential flatmates.

The facilities for medicine are incredible. There's so many sim wards, sim patients, sim surgeries. The library is clean and modern, there's a coffee shop. It's all wonderful. But the support offered to resits is appalling. We're treated as second class. When I asked for support after finding out I'd failed, I was effectively told tough luck if I didn't have mitigating circumstances. Student support from the library however is fabulous. Full of lovely staff members.

Classes were completely sub par during covid. They're a lot better now we're back in person. Sometimes lecturers don't turn up and we hear nothing, whereas if we don't turn up were chastised. Being in medicine is a strange mix of being treated like a kid and asked to act like an adult.

I was meant to have a ground floor disability room, but instead I was allocated a 3rd floor room. I have mobility issues.
