The university community is vibrant and welcoming to all students, whatever their background. A very few buildings and facilities are a little tired but overall the campus is a great place to study, live and socialise.

I have participated in online, hybrid and in-person teaching during my time as a student. Staff work very hard to make sure that teaching is accessible and to provide clear communication about participating in teaching sessions and assessments. The library team are excellent. They are always there to help you to locate learning resources and offer a huge range of skills-based courses to help students.

York is beautiful and hstoric city. Being compact, it is easy to find your way about and is a very safe place to live and work in. Because it has a thriving tourist industry, it is very easy for students to find part time work. The only thing that is not so good is that, with two large universities, and an agricultural college in a fairly small city, there is quite a lot of competition for student accommodation for anyone not living in halls.
