The uni has excellent facilities, location, and is near many student bars and cafes.

The course is taught in person with a lot of reading outside of teaching hours. Weekly, I spend around 9 hours in uni, but an equal amount reading. The lecturers are very friendly and passionate

English lit at Manchester is taught by really experienced professors, which is really great as it means that you’re learning from people who are researching in the field that you’ve chosen to study. The nightlife here is also fantastic, and there’s always cheap entry and drinks nearby, with masses of clubs and bars to explore every night of the week without fail. The accommodation at Weston hall could be better, but is one of the safer places to live while also being a great atmosphere, so I would definitely recommend it to anyone applying here.
