The university has helped me all the way in terms of disability and how I tackle the work. I am always welcome to ask for help and I receive a lot of it when needed. The worst aspect is that for archaeology field school we are expected to pay for accommodation over the summer and work 8-5 digging. I have my own work to make money and I need to have time to do this which I don’t know if I will in 6 months time

Sometimes we are expected to just know things and get on with the work which can be challenging but the lack of teaching for certain topics which come up in our coursework could be changed There are some lecturers who are amazing and help out more than the expected level. Going above and beyond to help me do my work.

I like the style of the halls, it feels nice to live in. The bathroom is also very nice. It costs a lot to live here which puts me off.

The university is a very welcoming place. The archaeology department is like a very close kit family, where an open-door policy and support are unrivalled. The ability to explore campus and find quiet spots in the Harris garden or get different kinds of food on Thursday food. The relaxing nature of campus is very comforting, and walking around the lake and in the woods is fantastic on a crisp day with a coffee from any of the cafes on campus. I have really enjoyed my time at the university and in the SAGES department, with all of the lecturers who have made me feel so at home, and welcome.

During my tuition, I experienced both online classes during Covid. I also have experienced the high quality of teaching in person as well. I have loved the variety of modules offered throughout the years I have attended. The support the department has provided in both a learning and personal capacity has been excellent. The facilities on campus in general, as well as specifically in the Allen lab and in the archaeology department itself are very high quality.

This Hall is quite loud and boisterous at times, so for anyone who is wanting a quiet living arrangement, this might not be the one for you. The location is very close to the Lake and only a 10-15 minute walk from almost all university buildings, even agriculture which is separated by a small walk from the central campus. The rooms are on the smaller side and the single bed was quite short also. From my recollection, I do recall that the accommodations washing and drying facilities didn't work the whole time and occasionally had to walk over to the Bridges facilities which were a bit frustrating but weren't too bad.
